Global burden of cancer in 2020 attributable to alcohol consumption: a population-based study 2021 (The Lancet)

This study provides updated estimates of the global burden of cancer attributable to alcohol consumption stratified by sex, cancer site, and country, using estimates of cancer incidence from the International Agency for Research on Cancer’s GLOBOCAN 2020 database and data on alcohol consumption patterns across the world from the Global Information System on Alcohol and Health. The study quantifies the contribution of different levels of alcohol intake to the alcohol-attributable burden of cancer. Data are available for UK and Ireland in this study.
